Storm Causer (ストームコーザー Sutōmukōzā) [Japanese name: The one that calls the storm] is one of the final bosses from Darius Gaiden. It's a improved version of Golden Ogre. It is shaped after a fangtooth (Anoplogaster).

A prototype battleship created from the recoverd remains of Golden Ogre and given weapons and tactics specialized for engagin against Silver hawks. Generates tornados to battle the enemies and prevent them a way to escape.
Gameplay[]
Storm Causer begins the fight by whipping up its tail, pushing the player back, after which its middle fin transforms into a flamethrower, following the player and firing a continuous stream of fire, while the boss fires a beam from its mouth and drops aseries of drones which shoot at the player. After this the boss will move to the background, fire a series of homing energy balls then return, resuming its pattern.
After some damage it will start the second phase. It will move to the background then fly up, dropping various bombs on the screen. Upon returning its fin will transform into a machinegun, shooting at the player while the boss fires a series of homing lasers from the top and a thin straight laser from the bottom. After this the boss will turn on its back and shoot lightning from four spots on its tail then whip it forward, while its fin turns into the flamethrower and the top shoots the homing lasers.
In the last phase of the fight the boss will move to the background then fire a series of bullets aimed at the player from its sides, doing this three times before returning to the foreground. Once it is back it will shoot various energy ball over the screen, while its fin turns into a laser gun which shoots twin lasers in three directions. The boss will suddenly move forward and leave the screen, returning while dropping lots of floating mines which it then whips at the player. The boss will then turn on its side, revealing various turrets which shoot all over the screen while the boss shoots the homing lasers and drops bombs below.
