Nehonojia is a boss exclusive to the Sega Mega Drive port of Darius II. It is shaped after a Horse Mackerel skeleton (Trachurus trachurus).
Gameplay[]
Nehonojia is comprised of multiple parts, being capable of splitting up and reforming. It attacks by shooting bullets in all directions, firing energy bolts from its mouth and sending multiple boomerang-like pieces which home unto the player but can be destroyed. After a barrage of attacks it will split up and reform on the other side of the screen. Its weakpoint is on its mouth.

Trivia[]
- Nehonojia's name is Aji no Hone backwards, which is Japanese for "bones of a Horse Mackerel".
- Some players might mistake Nehonojia as a skeletal Coelacanth due to its body shape.
- Its attack pattern is almost similar to Eternal Triangle.
